The French club gathered together for a Thanksgiving meal on December 3. However, people in France don’t celeberate this holiday. So, the club had a Canadian Thanksgiving. The members researched the type of foods that Canadians eat during this celebration and brought them. In Canada, Thanksgiving is the celebration of the earth thus the students brought in many greens. But, the students also brought in Haitian food like pumpkin soup. Before they ate, they went around the table saying what they were thankful for like a real dinner. The whole event felt like a genuine thanksgiving dinner. For those who don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, this gives them a chance to experience it.
